Is Clickbank a Scam or What?
If you are involved with online marketing, you have most likely heard of them. And you have probably asked yourself that question. Here is what I found:
About the Company:
Clickbank is a resource to Affiliates who are looking for products to promote online.
If you are the creator of a product, you can contact Clickbank about becoming one of their vendors.
They have been in existence since 1998.
They have offices in Boise, Idaho and Broomfield, Colorado.
There are various categories, such as Arts & Entertainment, Business, Investing, Computer, Internet, E-Business, E-Marketing, Education, Employment, Games, Health, Parenting, Politics, etc.
There is no cost to become an Affiliate with Clickbank.
If you are an affiliate looking for products to promote online, you will have many options to choose from. The products are listed under “Marketplace”.
Becoming an affiliate is a quick and easy process and so is creating affiliate links.
An affiliate can usually earn a very generous commission from the Clickbank sales they make.
The commissions are as high as 75%.
The affiliate links can be generated very quickly. When you scroll through the list of available programs, you will see “Promote” buttons. Click the “Promote” button for the product you are interested in marketing, add a tracking id (optional), and then click create. The system will automatically create a link for you with your affiliate ID included.
If you are new to affiliate marketing, you can take advantage of the training they have available.
As of the date of this post, Clickbank has an A+ rating with BBB. The company started in 1998.
If a customer is not satisfied with a product, they encourage them to contact Clickbank right away. Customer satisfaction is very important to them.
Because of the number of products available and the number of different vendors, it may be difficult to decide on what to promote. I like to read the promotional pages for the products and search for reviews. This helps to assure me the item I’m promoting is something I feel comfortable with. Remember, each product can have a different vendor associated with it.
Some social media websites will not allow you to promote Clickbank links. If that becomes an issue, you may want to get your own website and promote the products on your own webpage.
Is Clickbank a Scam?
In my opinion, Clickbank is NOT a scam. If you are looking for products to promote online, they could be a great resource for you. However, I suggest you first research the products you are considering promoting. Find out if customers have been happy with their purchases. It is important to me that I feel good about what I’m selling. It helps me to sleep better at night.
